How do I change lockscreen wallpaper in Cinnamon DE?

I can’t seem to find the settings unless I’m completely blind.

The setting is stored in /etc/lightdm/slick-greeter.conf:

background=/path/to/image

This can also be a color code.

I couldn’t link the background to home/picture directory.

I had to move to usr/share/background

Also found wiki for others if they have similar issue :slight_smile:

Good catch. I think I ran into this problem a few years ago, but I’m lucky to remember my name anymore.

When you change your lightdm background or grub background
if necessary from /usr/share/background
and not from home folder
