I made the jump from Debian this winter, and I’ve quite happily used EndeavourOS since then. Good work, everybody involved!
The only nag I have is that the otherwise speedy startup hangs a bit after I select the OS option in systemd-boot. I’ve looked around the forums but the closest I’ve found is extended kernel boot time; my problem seems to be with the loader:
$ systemd-analyze
Startup finished in 3.118s (firmware) + 15.409s (loader) + 1.047s (kernel) + 2.733s (initrd) + 6.111s (userspace) = 28.420s
graphical.target reached after 4.860s in userspace.
As you can see this is more of a small inconvenience than an actual issue, still I’d like to shave a few more seconds off my boot time Besides, if it’s a sign of some unnoticed problem under the hood I’d rather get to work on it.
I’ll be happy to provide more information but I’m not certain which logs will be more useful to clear this up. Ask and I’ll provide!
Thanks in advance.
