Is there a 1) pacman command to list all installed packages? or 2) a place in /home or /root to see it in txt form?
what about cli apps?
I had a couple digital challenges this year where I installed a lot of stuff to see what would work…got a free hour or two this aft, would like to do some housecleaning
Pacman -Q is nice. How could you list this alphabetically in ascending order. . . by directory . . . in the output. Then print this all out into a few formatted pages. . . .???
The list is already presented in alphabetical order.
I’m not sure exactly what you mean here, and don’t know why you’d want this, but pacman -Qql will show all files (plus their paths) installed by every package. It’s going to be a long list.
Paths. . . correct . . . my poor attempt to be grammatical. I looked at my terminal listings and it all started with the letter ‘o’. . though. . . it didn’t seem alphabetical.
List all installed AUR packages, including AUR packages that were installed as dependencies:
pacman -Qm
List all AUR packages, not including AUR packages that were installed as dependencies:
pacman -Qme
List all packages installed from a specific repo:
pacman -Sl repo_name | grep installed
(replace repo_name with the name of the repo, for example core or extra)
I don’t use EndeavourOS but I think the repo is called endeavouros so to see all packages installed from the EOS repo it would be pacman -Sl endeavouros | grep installed (check your /etc/pacman.conf for the correct repo name if endeavouros doesn’t work).
