I have a strange thing happening lately.
My eos install is running fine, latest linux kernel.
After updates with dracut is involved, on reboot my lenovo bios shows
Cannot find ROM image, system will shutdown in 5s
System then shuts down, if I restart the PC systemd-boot appears, boots the kernel and everything is fine.
I updated the bios firmware with fwupdmgr, but the message reappears after kernel updates/dracut involvement.
Thanks for the fast reply.
Found the thread as well.
My problem is, I wanted to use the Lenovo USB Recovery Creator Tool to reset the MiniPC, reinstall windows, update all the drivers/firmware etc., but it is an .exe file which does not work with wine (says something about Lenovo License…)
As I don’t have a windows machine, I can’t use the usb recovery tool, so I am stuck.
If I use fwupdmgr is prompts me to upgrade from system firmware 0.1.22 to 0.1.26, but after install and reboot nothing is happening, still on 0.1.22.
Well I think if you want to update your BIOS it is way better to do it from within the BIOS itself, at least that is the safest way as far as I know. So see if you can get a bios update file (or/and some sort of utility to boot from on the site of lenovo) to put on a usb stick.
