Latest bluez version is a mess

Somehow it’s can’t properly detect/sync or connect ps4 dualshock 4 controllers anymore. Possibly other Bluetooth devices are affected too.
Downgrading to 5.68-1 immediately fixed the problem.

Could you be specific about the problematic version number you are referring to?
Because the issue was (reportedly) resolved on 5.70 which is the current version, but you specify a downgrade to 5.68 (not 5.69).

There appears to be another similar issue with PS5 controller closed yesterday, which will probably be included in the next release.

It’s was the latest one, 5.71 I think.

There is no 5.71 as of yet.
Latest git tag is on 5.70 from 2 weeks ago.

Repos seem to be in sync with that tag:

pacman -Ss bluez | grep "/bluez " ─╯
>> extra/bluez 5.70-1 [installed]

When did you face the issue you are describing?

In general, it is a good idea to avoid reporting issues with “current” or “latest” when referring to versions.
Because (especially on Arch-based distros) what might be “latest” now, might not be “latest” in 2 hours :stuck_out_tongue:
