Laptop hotter than usual when idle

I am using a Dell G3 3590 with optimus-manager set to intel mode and my laptop is hotter than usual when idle. I haven’t installed any nvidia drivers yet because I am dual booting and will not require it for linux use (programming and browsing mostly). I think it was slightly cooler before installing optimus-manager. I will remove it,try and edit this post if that happens. Either way I want the idle temps to be same as windows if possible. If anyone else has tlp settings for this laptop pls share with me. systemctl also displays multiple throttling messages.

thermald is running?

No. First I’m hearing of it. I only know about tlp for battery and thermal.
