Konsole Color Scheme

Hey again!

So, this is not a problem, it’s something I’m used to and I can’t make it work…

How can I make that other color? I tried other color schemes and changing the colors but it doesn’t work. I’m using Konsole.

Thanks a lot! :slight_smile:

The color scheme just changes which colors are used when things are colored.

If you want to make one section of your prompt colored, you can do that by changing the settings for PS1 in your .bashrc

I’m sorry, I don’t think I was clear:

What I want is something like this (the red part on the username and the PC name)

Right, I understand. That is changed by setting the PS1 in your .bashrc :wink:

Open the file .bashrc in your home directory and set PS1 to something like this:

PS1='\[\033[01;32m\][\u@\h \W]\[\033[00m\]\$ '

Once it is colored, you can modify the color scheme to get it to be the color your prefer but changing the color scheme won’t make much difference if the text isn’t colored to being with.

Thank you very much! It worked! :heart_eyes:

Now I just have one question: To change the color, which one should I change?

You can tell by looking at the color it is now but probably color 3 intense.
