Konsole Always Opens Maximized

Are you opening the terminal with a shortcut? If yes, maybe check if there is some weird starting parameter for the shortcut (or the icon).

@ricklinux OK I just got done trying to fix Garyā€™s Dolphin checking everything I could think of, using some of the above suggestions here and Iā€™m honestly at a lost. Sorry I could not help. Looks like in my case Iā€™ll have to post on the KDE forums and create a bug report for him. Iā€™ll keep an eye on this thread just in case someone comes up with some thing I didnā€™t think of.

@otherbarry itā€™s Konsole so just rightclick the titlebar, More Actions, Configure Special Window Settings.

Nothing works for me. It opens maximized. I donā€™t know when it started.

I noticed Garyā€™s Dolphin issue the day before yesterday, if that helps at all.

Same here i think.

Hey Thanks but, i fixed mine. I rolled back my updates because i am running Btrfs without encryption using timeshift and snapshots thanks to @2000! Now it is working properly. I went back about a week just because and there were about 180 updates. I tried it first and it opened maximized so i changed it and closed and tried and it opened windowed so i updated and it works now.

OK good, glad. Iā€™m going to leave that thread as it is and still make the bug report as if Gary and you both are still having the issue, simply because if itā€™'s happening to you two itā€™s happening to others. That way maybe they can figure out which update might of went sideways in the first place. I can roll him back even though heā€™s ext4, but would rather wait and see what the KDE forums come up with.

Never really noticed it, until I saw this postā€¦
Having the same problem over here

Ya it was odd. It just started happening. I rolled back with my snapshots and it is okay now but I had to reinstall a couple things.

Hey guys already received a couple of replies in the bug report. Havenā€™t checked the KDE forums to see if anything posted there.
