Keychron K2 keyboard persist key bindings (i3wm)

Hello,

I’m a new user and very new to command line operation. I have a Keychron K2 keyboard and have followed online guides to get function keys working properly. However I can’t get these to persist after reboot because the guide says to run mkinitcpio -P which doesn’t exist. Some searching has let me know that that has been replaced by dracut but I can’t find something that I can be confident of is the equivalent command.

The guide I am following is:

The output from inxi -FAZ --no-host | eos-sendlog is:
http://ix.io/4B1g

Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

I think the equivalent of mkinitcpio -P is reinstall-kernels

Thanks - that is the correct command.

Edit: Note for future users of K2 keyboard. All the guides telling you to use the Apple mode are now redundant. There was a change with linux-5.19 kernel that fixes all the key bindings in Windows mode. So moving forward just use Windows mode with these keyboards and it’ll work out of the box.

Glad its working, also if you’re using EOS, I believe dracut is used instead of mkinitcpio.
