Since a few updates I have the problem that, whenever I boot up my system, only the US keyboard layout is available.
Now I already looked here and I found the problem and the suggested solution seems to be to uninstall fcitx5.
But, for one I wonder why it is even there. And second, if I add the other layout via system settings everything works and I can switch layouts via taskbar. The second layout just doesn’t get saved.
I guess I have to edit the profile file for fcitx5. I’m just not sure how.
Can anyone maybe tell me what I should edit/add here to get both, the US layout and the standard German/Austria layout?
