Today I received my ASUS TUF A15 and to my great surprise the keyboard doesn’t work with EndevarousOS (I tested in the BIOS in case there was a fault but everything works). As soon as I installed the keyboard it didn’t work, if I put in an external keyboard it works but the laptop’s native keyboard doesn’t work. Same thing after full installation, and after changing the keyboard settings on the Asus laptop.
What kernel are you using and have you tried another one?
I’m using the default kernel provided by the last installation ISO, and I confess I don’t know how to modify it and the impact it has.
what boot manager are you using?
I use systemd-boot.
Sorry got a work call
You can use akm
to download the lts kernel or sudo pacman -S linux-lts linux-lts-headers
and then run reinstall-kernels
once you restart you can boot into the lts kernel and see if your keyboard situation is any different.
Okay thanks, I’ll test it and let you know.
Unfortunately, apart from adding an extra start-up option and breaking the internet access via RJ45, it hasn’t had any effect.
Ah, well it was worth a try. Here’s a thread I think you might find interesting:
Obviously, once you switch back to the stable kernel you’re going to be working with 6.4.3
instead of 6.4.2
and you’re not working with grub either. This is also in Ubuntu so I can’t vouch for how this will work for you if you try it.
I think I’ll switch to Windows and wait for better support for this type of hardware. It bothers him, but I don’t know what else to do. And i have also try zen kernel but for the same result
Yeah, it seems like this is pretty new. With the patch still not making it in as of yet, it’s probably worth waiting it out until then. Otherwise, at least you’ve got an option if you want to do it yourself
In any case, thank you for your help!
