Keyboard/Mouse or Controller?

I’ve been a PC gamer on and off for a long time. Moreso since gaming via Steam works so well on Linux. Otherwise, I’ve been a PS4/5 gamer.

I had a Google Stadia Cloud Gaming account years ago. After it shut down, the controller was basically useless. Since a firmware update a while back allowed the Stadia controller to be used on PC (Windwos/Linux), it’s my go-to for gaming. I only use the keyboard/mouse if absolutely necessary.

What about you?

I play a lot of platforming games like Hollow Knight, Dead Cells so a controller is more comfortable for me for those games.
I also play strategy games like Anno 1800 and Civ 6, those require me to use keyboard and mouse.

So it depends on the game for me

Keyboard/mouse for me. At least on PC. Although I have started my gaming history with NES, I find controllers somewhat clunky, apart from retro-games. :keyboard::computer_mouse: :video_game:

Yeah, I hear ya. Which is why I said “I only use the keyboard/mouse unless absolutely necessary.”

Technically controller isn’t necessary for platformers. In fact the best players and speedrunners all use keyboard and mouse for more precise inputs and button mashing. I just find controller more comfortable

I play only a few Games (Dead by Daylight, Hades 2). They work perfectly with a PS5 Controller.

But sometimes i play Guild Wars 2. For me that only works with keyboard and mouse.
