At least since linux-lts 6.18.51-1 the keyboard input is broken when LightDM appears. It still works on linux-lts 6.18.48 and I didn’t do updates between the mentioned kernels, so I don’t have these packages at my disposal. The problem isn’t present in linux or linux-zen.
Is this a known bug that will be fixed soon? I still see it on linux-lts 6.18.52.

Thanks for any ideas.

On a modern-hardware system (like Strix-Halo), there is absolutely no reason to use an LTS kernel since it’s old and unlikely to support modern hardware. LTS is intended for older hardware that’s not supported in the newer kernels.

Like you said, it works fine using the Zen or stable linux kernel…use them instead.

*Edit. My Zenbook laptop is Strix-Halo and I had no end of problems with the hardware on the (then) stable 6.18 kernel series until the stable kernel moved to 7.1 which fixed all my issues. It’s been smooth sailing ever since. Drop the LTS, you don’t need it. :wink:
