good day dear MyNameIsRichard and homelab_hacker
many thanks for the reply - great to hear from you..
MyNameIsRichard - many thanks
keepassxc has an import option in the database menu.
very good. Btw - my import format for KeePass is a CSV file - taken form a export of FireFox.
Can it be customized using the “Generic CSV Importer” tool.
homelab_hacker - thank you.
What data are you trying to import? Are you trying to import from another password manager?
no - i want to import the data that i have saved in the “password-saving”-section of the FireFox.
i have - the following fields - username , passwd , URL (for the site and login)
note: i just have installed the Keepass today - tomorrow i am going to start with the import of the data:
some assumptions: i guess that the process: in the KeePass, go to File > Import and select Generic CSV Importer. here i hope, that i can select the file - the prepared CSV file.
the question: can i subsequently can map the count of the columns and the whole set of the columns: Is the importer able to analyze the CSV set of data that i have (derived from my FireFox-Data-Formate) - and besides that allows me to manually map columns to the correct KeePass fields,
it would be great if i would be able to configure the settings: so that this fits for my import with the following fields - username , passwd , URL (for the site and login)
note: i have approx 120 records - that are 120 lines of the above formate.
it would be great if i could import the dataset - out of a
a. csv-formate or
b. calc-formate (in a txt.-file)
well hopefully i could add this file - and do not have to add each line manually…
…look forward to hear from you
