KDE restarts from time to time

I’m new to Linux (less than a week as I have fled from windows).
Some times I see how KDE restarts but don’t really know the reason of it.
Here is journal ctl

Seems like powerdevil (power management tools of KDE Plasma) is having troubles to switch the current power state of your Geforce GTX 1660 Super via the i2c protocol and this results in a coredump.

If I’m not mistaken, thats the proprietary driver from nVidia, you could try to install nvidia-open instead.

Before I installed EndeavourOS I had tried Arch and Garuda and I had had some issues with something but proprietary driver. But I can try… wouldn’t it break anything though? I mean I have made some settings for apps.

Oh and the most important, thank you for help, that was really fast, didn’t even expect

Due to the hardware I’m using, my experience with nVidia on linux is pretty much limited to ancient GPUs using the nouveau drivers, therefore I can’t really tell if there might be issues, but I’m certain that other users could provide their recommendation on the specific drivers.

If you don’t want to change the driver, there seems to be another workaround by blacklisting the i2c interface of the GPU, as this seems to be the culprit; it seems to be a bug that the driver tries to address the GPU via a non-existing interface. I.e. the reference card design by nVidia included an usb-c port, but not every card manufacturer implemented it and left it out. You could simply check if there is a usb-c port available or not to narrow it down.

Oh, usb-c again? when I was installing arch I have added it to blacklist, but I thought endevourOS did it automatically. Will try add i2c to blacklist. Thank you very much
