KDE Plasma (Wayland) Partial Hangs

OS: EndeavourOS, last updated 2/15/2026

Kernel: Linux 6.18.9-arch1-2

Hardware: Framework 16 Laptop (BIOS 4.3), AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, Nvidia RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD (main) + 256GB SSD

I run KDE Plasma on Wayland, and every so often, mouse input freezes. I am still able to use the scroll wheel and side buttons on my mouse if plasma shell freezes while I am in a window, but I am unable to use left and right click. All keyboard input still works, and I am able to use keyboard commands to tab around plasma shell and run/interact with things. This issue affects all mice and my trackpad. When the hang happens, my right click menu usually pops up, and moving the mouse will highlight text. The only way to fix this without rebooting that I have found is to enter another tty session with ctrl + alt + F2-6 and then to return to the original session with ctrl + alt + F1. I am just about at my wits’ end with trying to diagnose and solve this issue, so if anyone has any ideas then that would be greatly appreciated.

On another note, how new are you to Linux and/or Arch Linux?

I’ve been on Linux for a few years now, but I’ve only been daily driving EndeavourOS for about a year. I’m a bit familiar with the inner workings of the system, but not so much that I could do an entire Arch install from scratch.

Here’s my logs, thanks for the help!
