KDE Plasma Shows Old Screens When Taking Screenshots

Most of the time if I need to take a screenshot Spectacle will show ‘old’ screens and not what is on the screen now.

I then have to do this to fix it:

Go to Settings → Display and Monitor → Compositor and change Keep Window Thumbnails Only for Shown Windows to Never → Click Apply and then change Never to Only for Shown Windows → Click Apply then Close

Is there a fix for this or a terminal command I can issue so I can just make a clickable script?

If you have installed Plasma 5.27, I would suggest a cache cleanup, and possible a handpicked Plasma configuration files reset.

I’m going to guess that you have the xf86-video-intel package installed.

If so, try removing it.
