Should be good! Made the switch to Wayland when RustDesk started supporting it. No need for Xorg any more.

Even I did not know about telemetry. When I looked closely at the System settings > User Feedback, it was disabled. I played with the slider and the only issue were three points.
Firstly about Usage time
Secondly about the difference between “Detailed system information and basic usage statistics” and “Detailed system information and usage statistics”
Thirdly was the info about OpenGL and screen parameters
For the first, I am a bit concerned that KDE developers would need this metric.
For the second it is not clear what is the difference between these two. What extra information is specified.
For the third one, it might be easy to zoom in and identify a host using OpenGL and screen parameters in conjunction with all the ad metrics collected by various games and websites. Thus this information cannot be said to be anonymous. It can be used to target and isolate a particular host, with some effort.

Plasma 6.4 has been rolled out for Fedora 42 
Don’t worry, I’m sure it will be available for Arch Linux soon

Fedora has really got on the ball with KDE releases now - hence it becoming an Edition alongside Gnome (Workstation) rather than just a Spin.

I’ve always wondered, because I didn’t think it was Arch policy to hold back and evaluate, but to simply roll. However, the last couple of years observing the KDE rollouts, it seems they are holding out on us

It’s worth trying it out. I suggest using the Network Installer (the Everything ISO) as this allows you to make the packages installed more minimal, and also up to date as it downloads the latest versions from the repos.

Thanks, but I’ll wait another day or two for Arch/EndeavourOS to release it (honestly, I already have it now, since I temporarily enabled testing to get the update)! I’ve been testing different Fedora/Fedora-based builds (KDE Workstation, GNOME Workstation, Nobara (KDE), and Bazzite (KDE)). It’s a good distribution, but it requires a little too much work to get things the way I like them. While I love and appreciate FOSS, I don’t want to be forced to use FOSS as the default, and then have to jump through some extra hoops to install non-FOSS software. Arch/EndeavourOS lets me do what I want..

Yes, setting up RPM Fusion is a bit of a pain. Also, you sometimes have to wait for the updates in RPM Fusion to catch up (an example from today). Although there’s sometimes a similar problem with some AUR packages.

Hopped over to Fedora KDE about a week ago on my laptop. Wasn’t expecting to get 6.4 on here before my Endeavour installation! Learned something new.
Favorite 6.4 update is Spectacle. Feels a lot smoother.

Updated, - and as flawless as ever!
Edit: Holy crap, - did they fix sRGB? My screen is actually black now, and colours are balanced. I’ve been fighting contrast and brightness issues forever on Wayland, but it looks like icm colour profiles apply properly now and screens calibrate properly. Amazing!
