Whatever I do it’s always displays apps on light theme? I’m confused.
And when I switch to X11 it lags? I got GNOME as a default DE and it works fine but I wanna use KDE on the side, but this is annoying for me.
Welcome to the forum
What exactly do you mean with KDE on the side ?
Did you install it from within GNOME , and the same user name?
Because if you do that you can get al sort of strange things happening.
Thanks for welcoming me
Yeah I did under same username, and I have GNOME DE as default DE I wanted to use KDE on the side like whenever I want, but hey help me get it on a different username if that is what i need to do, I didn’t know that lol.
Well if you do that way you will end up getting a mix from gnome with KDE, never a good idea.
If you got some space left on your drive it would be even better to install KDE to a separate partition and dual boot.
well I don’t want to and I don’t like to dual-boot, I would like to either remove gnome or install KDE On different username, which one sounds good?
It’s arguably more efficient to pick just one. You can always try other DE’s in a virtual machine.
That’s correct, I wanna use “boxes” is it good? or you guys recommend a different one, well for now I wanna keep KDE and remove GNOME, can you give me commands for that? thanks
Never mind, I remember the commands now! just let me know on those virtual machine stuffies.
Okay well, I removed GNOME and the light theme thing still there for me, I switch to dark, still light.
You can find some information in the Wiki.

Thanks, well now I need help with KDE again, I removed GNOME and I still have the light theme issue.
I suggest you backing up all your data and doing a new clean installation with the DE you prefer to start it all with no mess.
It would be better to do a complete reinstall of KDE I think , you might be missing some parts of it otherwise.
A couple of questions:
- Is it applying the colours correctly? You can check in Colours & Themes → Colours
- What happens if you use the normal Breeze Dark rather than the Endeavour OS one?
well no, I would like to try solving it first lol.
Look how application style and plasma style are set.
Wish you patience and perseverance!
And best of luck to all the helpers!
Hmm, maybe it’s a problem with the cache. Try renaming ~/.cache/plasma_theme_default.kcache to ~/.cache/plasma_theme_default.saved then changing the theme.
