Software has bugs. Rewritten software has bugs too, there is no magic “efficiency” in rewriting something.

Objectively we’re just diving into “citation needed” I see. This forum is full people with issues regarding Linux and EndeavourOS. Maybe someone should just rewrite all that and therefore solve all the bugs? It feels inherently fragile.

People have issues all the time. You report them, they will get fixed.

Baloo is just in the unfortunate position that a bug may have an impact on performance and/or resource usage, so it is judged more detrimental than “I clicked a button and nothing happened.”

I you believe you found a bug I’m happy to read your bug report about it. And with that deep introspection into the matter maybe even a patch. If it is that obvious, the maintainers will certainly agree.
