After updating EOS about two days ago starting KDE desktop very slowly. Just before the screen starts waiting about 25 seconds. Please where to find the error?

I noticed since the last big kde updates the login in is extremely slow with gear spinning for quite some time before it opens to the desktop. I went back to a previous snapshot before the kde updates and it works properly. What is the culprit i have no idea. I updated again and it’s slow as molasses to log in.

Edit: Tried the above post which i never had before and made no difference. It’s still slow to log in but at least it’s not failed to do so.
Also experiencing this issue. Furthermore after update I am unable to login with two monitors on wayland. X11 still works though. If i plug hdmi to nvidia i get black screen for sec and back to the login screen.
I think it may be a different issue if it doesn’t log in and you are getting a black screen. I am able to log in. It’s just slow to get to the desktop.
Edit: The error messaging say’s it’s got an issue with plasma-powerdevil.service

The issue of the plasma splash screen spinning for 30 seconds was fixed, should be out next week with plasma 6.2.2 (if Arch doesn’t pull in the patch earlier).

that is good to know… I was wondering if I was the only one.
Nope, happens here too on all machines. Annoying, but luckily not the end of the world.
PS: Surprisingly plasma 6.2 release feels rockier than even 6.0 or 6.1. Lot of little papercuts.

After update plasma-workspace-6.2.1 now is all ok! Thanks
