For opening folders, Dolphin is the default.
However, running timeshift gains privilege. Then when I click browse it tries to open folders with filebot (as root). How do I get it to use dolphin???

This (unresolved) issue has been reported already in May '20 on timeshift’s github site:

@teejee2008 hello.
KDE devs some time ago restricted access to filesystem from … kde apps. And now calling kate or dolphin AS root does nothing.
Timeshift app in default working on ROOT account.
Option: Browse files for snapshot calling dolphin (default inode/directory handler), BUT at end dolphin window does not show up cause have denied.
Terminal output looks:
```
$ timeshift-launcher
App config loaded: /etc/timeshift.json
/dev/sda2 is mounted at: /run/timeshift/backup, options: rw,relatime,discard
"Session bus not found\nTo circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash)\nexport $(dbus-launch)"
App config saved: /etc/timeshift.json
```
And here `"Session bus not found\nTo circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash)\nexport $(dbus-launch)"` is moment when I call Browse button.
