Welcome to the community @Deskpik :wave::partying_face: :enos_flag:

I suspect this may be specific to Wayland. If you log into KDE using an X11 session, does the issue persist?

This issue is discussed in the NVIDIA Developer Forum, with some useful feedback:

Big Minecraft issues with latest stable driver 565.77 on Wayland

The conclusion is that it’s been a bug for a little while now, but it does look to have been addressed in the (currently beta) Nvidia 575 drivers.

There are three options available to you in the meantime:

  1. Use X11 instead of Wayland.

  2. Disable GLThreadedOptimizations. You can probably do this be editing the shortcut to Minecraft and adding this as an environment variable.

__GL_THREADED_OPTIMIZATIONS=0

  1. Install the nvidia-open-beta-dkms driver instead (currently 575.51.02), until 575 is released officially.

Personally, if sticking with Wayland is important, I’d try option #2.
