I’m currently having issues with connecting to a router with my Wireless NIC. I believe the issues to be with drivers and I’ve tried updating the whole system with no luck. It doesn’t make sense to me because I was able to use my Wireless NIC when I was running it though the usb device. I would appreciate any help.

yes I did but that seemed like an over complicated work around especially since I fixed the issue in a much easier way. something I figured out was that windows is really annoying and put my network adapter in power saver mode which made me unable to use it unless I went into windows first and rebooted into Linux.
I simply went back into windows then into device manager → properties → power management. after that I unchecked the power saver mode and now I can use my desktop like I originally intended. I do appreciate your help though.
