Issues with Freezing after install and using IcedTea

Thanks for a great Distribution. I’ve been using Manjaro for over a year, but liking the slimmed down Arch feeling of EndeavourOS. I use Linux as primary for work, I work for an MSP/Security IT practice so I could be in multiple client environments all day. I specifically use IcedTea-Web for Connectwise Control which works great on Manjaro, but it freezes EndeavourOS, at least that’s when the freezing happens.

I have attempted picking my Kernel upon Reboot but I’m unable to get the option to select one.

I extracted the following errors right at the time of failure:

System freeze or crash when gaming on Vega cards

Dynamic power management may cause a complete system freeze whilst gaming due to issues in the way GPU clock speeds are managed. [8] A workaround is to disable dynamic power management, see ATI#Dynamic power management for details.

do you run wayland session for Plasma?
is it happen while using firefox?

First I would try is to start plasma with X11 session and see if it does freeze to.

B.T.W welcome at the purple side of Linux :enos:

Thanks so much for the reply. I’ll look into disabling DPM today, I personally haven’t messed with Kernel Parameters yet.

I have Firefox installed, but I was using Vivaldi at the time.

I am using a x11 session of Plasma, I don’t see an option to switch to Wayland while getting logged into the laptop.

Also, I am seeing srslizness in that forum threat had success with a different kernel. How do I change the Kernel version?
