Issue updating system after XFCE4 offline install (Atlantis neo)

only if you are using Atlantis neo ISO

If you got an issue on first update of you fresh offline XFCE4 install:

:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
 community is up to date
 multilib is up to date
 endeavouros is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
:: pipewire-jack and jack2 are in conflict (jack). Remove jack2? [y/N]

And this key issues:

(368/368) checking package integrity [--------------------------------] 100%
error: libmfx: key “80247D99EABD3A4D1E3A1836E85B8683EB48BC95” is unknown
:: Import PGP key 80247D99EABD3A4D1E3A1836E85B8683EB48BC95? [Y/n] Y

Run this to get the update done:

sudo pacman -Sc
sudo pacman -S archlinux-keyring
sudo pacman -Rdd jack2
sudo pacman -Syu

And you are up to date…

This happens caused by some package changes the packages on ISO (Atlantis neo) do not have because it is already a bit older.

But it is a good start for you to see on how to solve such issue anyway…

Welcome under the hood of an arch system :wink:

Is it still advisable to run these commands or does the new iso from today fix all these already? Just curious

new ISO does not have this …
But these issue is also nothing directly related to Installer or ISO, these can happen simply on a rolling release so understanding the issue and knowing about the needed procedure to fix is always good :wink:
