Is there any alternative of K-LITE codec packs for EndeavourOS/Arch?

Recently i was searching to install all the codec required for a high quality or any type of video to play

but cant find any good source to download the coded packs

although the default media player VLC comes with all the codec pack
i want to install more manually

anyone have idea how to install those ?

There is no real need for such a thing on Linux. Most codecs are already available and pulled in by dependencies or otherwise embedded.

If there is a specific codec that is missing for you, please let us know what it is and we can help you find a solution.

can i have av1 codec and all the HEVC codec that needs to be installed on my system

cause on windows AV1 and HEVC were running like a butter
but here i cant run those

It probably isn’t codecs you are missing but drivers.

Can you share the output of inxi -Fxxxz

i am new here !!

can you elaborate it ?

Open a terminal and type: inxi -Fxxxz

Then copy the output from the terminal and paste it in the forum.

Try this:

sudo pacman -Syu intel-media-driver

Done sir !!

Does it work for you now?

If not, can you explain how you are testing?

testing by watching one drama which have AV1

HEVC is running but its lagging soo

How are you testing?

i downloaded the drama and then i played it in VLC media player
which comes default on this os

previously it was running smoothly and better on windows
but in this EndeavourOS its lagging

Can you try testing with haruna instead?

sudo pacman -S haruna

works as butter

thank you sir for suggesting this !!!

but i need something !!
will create a new topic for that
maybe you can help me in that too !!
