I am tired of GNOME breaking all extension dependencies on each update, and I wanted to migrate to KDE plasma. Is there any guide out there explaining how to install one DE and remove the other?

The most complicated/faffy part of the procedure was tidying up my ~/.{cache,config} directories after the transition, but that’s optional.
