My network card for some reason shows as Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201, and it can’t reach 1mbps with very low signal.

When dealing with WiFi issues, some context is often important.

  • Has this adaptor worked without issue from the same location, under a different OS?
  • How far are you from the access point and what physical barriers are between your system and the access point?
  • Have you tried connecting on the 2.4GHz frequency (longer range)?

It works perfectly in windows with normal speed but in linux it has weak signal. The adapter is just in the other room, it should have full signal here… It could barely detects 2.4Ghz but no 5Ghz to be found. I also tried downgrading to lts but samething happens.

Check that “fast startup” is disabled in Windows.

Oddly, this setting can interfere with the network card working normally when not booted to Windows.

Have you tried setting a different channel on your router for the WiFi in question.

Yes I also tried everything from https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/iwlwifi-weak-signal-for-Intel-AC-9462-on-Linux/td-p/1232139
So I’m pretty sure that this is more of a driver problem. Every wifi in the list has the same weak signal so no hope so far :sweat_smile:
