I created my USB key using Rufus, and made sure to use the DD method. When I boot my laptop, it’s not able to boot to it.
Did you go into your BIOS and set it to allow booting from an external device?
Most devices also allow just pressing an Fn
key to achieve the same result.
Also, do you have another OS installed on the system?
You might need to turn off secure boot in the bios

Dell has an issue where if the USB ID an/or name is too long, it’ll be unable to boot at all.
The only solution is to use a different USB stick. At least that’s the only solution I found.
In my case “Write in DD Image mode” also didn`t work. But with “Write in ISO Image mode” everything went smoothly.
