@fbuddymechanic
many thanks - sure thing - i allready was talking about anaconda - but atm i am doing a install on a other notebook -and yes: i do not know how to start -
to proceed with the following command to enable anaconda:
conda activate
does not work at all
i thoght that this will enable the default Anaconda environment.
Once we have activated Anaconda, i thought that i can use all available commands and functions of Anaconda.
so for an example - i should be able then also install Python packages, for example, or use the Python interpreter environment.
but at the moment i got stuck …
I have combined your two topics about anaconda into one topic.
For me it works but I installed using their installer not yay. anaconda installer for Linux, ran the .sh script, got then all the essentials and environment setup.
https://docs.conda.io/projects/conda/en/latest/user-guide/install/linux.html
Once activated you should see a (base) in front of your terminal.
My activation stops with an error I cannot fix:
Error while loading conda entry point: anaconda-cloud-auth (OpenSSL 3.0's legacy provider failed to load. This is a fatal error by default, but cryptography supports running without legacy algorithms by setting the environment variable CRYPTOGRAPHY_OPENSSL_NO_LEGACY. If you did not expect this error, you have likely made a mistake with your OpenSSL configuration.)
Error while loading conda entry point: conda-content-trust (PyO3 modules compiled for CPython 3.8 or older may only be initialized once per interpreter process)
