In the field highlighted in blue, everytime a single character is entered into that field, the whole thing crashes. Could someone help me get around this, so it installs?

Yes, I do. The ISO was downloaded today in fact.
Could be some issue with it? Maybe try downloading it again and create another live usb just to see. Can’t hurt to try.
Edit: Also make sure you have secure boot and csm disabled in the bios before running the installer.
Also the downloaded ISO should be checked for downloading & tampering errors according to the instructions in the EndeavourOS download page.

Can you give some more info about how exactly you created the installer media? What language you are using e.t.c?
Possible also to show the installer (crash) log from the LiveSession:
cat ~/endeavour-install.log | eos-sendlog
and share the URL to the Pastebin it creates.
The problem has been fixed. Apparently I forgot to turn off secure boot, and after I turned it off and booted into the live environment, the installer worked!
