Friends, I have a problem that I would like you to help me to solve if it is possible, in this computer with win8.1 and intel rst the speed with which it turns on and works is amazing, on the other hand when installing linux it is getting slower with time, I have had instead installed win for more than 6 years without having any problem or degradation. I would like to know if any of you are able to help me install with Intel RST in full installation for endeavour the problem is that when following the guide it seems that you have changed commands or something. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/white-papers/rst-linux-paper.pdf is where the instructions from intel itself are.
I thank you in advance for your help,

Hello @AlDo
I don’t think you’ll be able to install EndeavourOS using Raid or Intel RST as it’s called. RST isn’t supported under Linux as far as i know. I’m not saying it can’t be done but there is not much benefit to it in Linux and it will be more trouble than it’s worth. Is your intention to install EndeavourOS as the only operating system on this device? If that is so you would be better off to switch the UEFI hardware settings to AHCI and you shouldn’t have any problems. Secure boot and fast boot also need to be disabled.
Saludos
Hi, did you check the Intel page? they say it’s possible and without problems, but something must have changed because as mdadm instructions are not executed and I can’t understand / see where the fault is.
Opensuse and some other have in their installer the possibility of raiding and installing with RST, which I presume is possible and also an interesting improvement.
The alternative is that when I have money (I’m poor and now more with a pandemic) I change my hdd for a ssd.
Thanks for your interest and opinion.
