Not quiet sure how this will effect the install but it appears as if ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols is no longer available, you may have to unckeck this to be able to install this. But as I said I am not sure how it will affect the install. I’ll try it in a VM and I’ll get back to you.

It appears to work after unchecking ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols in the installer

I don’t really know how to explain this, but I jut woke up (around 7am CST in my part of the world) and it worked this time without having to do anything extra o.0

I wonder if the servers or something were down. I was going to try and untick the fonts as per your instructions if it didn’t work. Not sure if there is any extra info I can provide before closing this thread.

Thank you,

Just wanting to see if the ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols package was installed as the package is still in the package list for the install
could you run
pacman -Qi ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols

Ran the command and it returned

error: package 'ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols' was not found

That means it didn’t install (it won’t as it’s not available either) but at least you have it up and running. Hope you enjoy using your new setup.

It changes its name earlier in the week, try:

yay ttf-nerd-fonts

Off the top of my head, they added “mm”

The new name of the package is:

ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols-2048-em

Run this command via terminal on the live ISO and then run the installer

sudo su && sed -i /etc/calamares/modules/packagechooser_ce.conf -e 's|\(- ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols\)|\1-2048-em|'

Or you can change it manually in

/etc/calamares/modules/packagechooser_ce.conf

replace:
ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols with ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols-2048-em

Close but no :smoking: (cigar)

This is what I was unsure about earlier - for some reason I was unable to get on the arch Linux website to see what had changed.
