Looks interesting, though I don’t think I’ll be paying $25 for the cinema to see it.
I don’t want to see it (or live it). Take it away!
I’ll wait until it hits streaming… or acquire it “another way.” ![]()
Well, a documentary that is advertised as an upcoming feature film is somewhat odd. As documentaries usually don’t see an theatrical release to a major audience.
And the fact that this documentary includes interviews with not only one but several CEOs of the A.I. companies, I’m almost certain that that their PR departments had the last word about the questions to be asked, specific topics may have been off limits altogether.
It’s like making a documentary about the health risks of smoking and involving most of the CEOs of the tobacco industry. Just based on a quick search about this documentaries cast, I’ve got the impression that critics and opponents might not be represented to the same extend as the industry itself.
Therefore, I’ll definitely pass on paying for a movie ticket. I may check it out on a later date, when it’s available online. Or skip it altogether.
Hmm, 2 reviews already and both are suss. First 1 probably hasn’t seen and just asked some llm to write a good review on it, second one also probably hasn’t and won’t see it. Gotta love review sites these days.

The Great Filter is at hand and it will see humans as they are: dangerously stupid. Look around and see what we’re doing to the only home that sustains us, Mother Earth. We’re not going to the Cosmos, we’re going to the undertaker: AI.
Well, I think the main motivation for AI has always been fact that natural intelligence is so scarce.
We need to level up as a species don’t we? That means going beyond generalising humanity as stupid and doomed. Don’t get me wrong, humanity is making a absolutely top tier case for the view we’re stupid doomed and dangerous, but we need to need to stop believing that.
Sorry, but all the evidence is that we are stupid and dangerous. Which means we’re probably doomed!
That’s nervous laughter for reference ![]()
