Icloud drive

Hi,

Is it possible to use iCloud drive (apple) under EOS ?

I know, I know, it is a stupid question…but I am looking for a smart answer

Many thanks in advance,

Cordialement,

PJN

For linux in general, including EOS, you can use it with rclone as long as Advanced Data Protection is disabled (see https://rclone.org/iclouddrive/). This is really flexible, but I’m not really an expert in how to set it up for any particular use case (e.g. whether you want sync vs bisync vs mount). If you want to back up data to icloud, I know some backup tools have built-in support for rclone (restic and various graphical applications, kopia).

Thank you,

The procedure seems to be fastidious…but i’ll try it

If anybody have an other (more simple) solution…

Depending on use case signing into the web page may be enough.

Yes,

For now, I think it is the simplest way to do so.
I have nearly nothing important on Icloud Drive.

Thank you,

There are several chrome and firefox browser extensions for that. I backup my files to icloud first. Then I use “Launchpad for Icloud” for chrome/brave and “Icloud Dashboard” for firefox. They aren’t all function-equal, but it’s decent for most stuff. Also, I install ifuse from pacman to support direct access to my phone files.
