I no longer get a notification to restart after updates

I had Endeavour OS on my system for a while and would get notifications after updates (I think it definitely happened when the kernel was updated).

For various reasons, I ended up reformatting my system with a fresh install of EOS, but I’ve noticed that I no longer get a notification to reboot my computer after installing updates.

Why? Has the package that gave the notification been removed? Am I doing something wrong?

If it’s not installed, install eos-reboot-recommended

Did a fresh install last month and I noticed that the above mentioned package was not installed.

Its an optional package now from my understanding and needs to be explicitly installed.

EndeavourOS Notification

Made some changes to eos-reboot-recommended version 26-1: It supports automatic closing of the notification after a user-defined time. This requires user to make configurations in file /etc/eos-reboot-recommended.conf. Package eos-reboot-recommended is no more a dependency of eos-bash-shared (version 26.3-1) thus making it easy to uninstall. eos-reboot-recommended ought to be a default installed package and not optional. It will save a lot of noobs and less technical inclined a lot of grief.
