I use the proton-vpn-gtk app, which works perfectly on my 2 EOS computers, also with my android-smartphone.
All other proton-vpn apps don’t working for me.

Hello welcome to EOS community.
Try Riseup VPN | AUR it’s completely free on desktop and android (F-Droid) and other platforms.
It’s based on their Bitmask technology (Features | FAQ), all your traffic is securely routed through your provider before it is decrypted and sent on to the open internet.
Read more about it at

The RiseupVPN service is entirely funded through donations from users. If you value an easy, non-profit VPN service that does not track users, then please contribute to keeping RiseupVPN alive.

Note that it doesn’t provide many locations and the VPN service is slower than other paid services.

Actually you can use it with your own custom Bitmask-compatiable service provider.
In this case RiseupVPN, CalyxVPN are preconfigured with their own service provider for the public use.

Thanks buddy, I did what the friend above said, I downloaded mullvad, I deleted it because it was 5 euros per month. I downloaded the vpn you said from the terminal, it was installed very easily, I am connected to the vpn now. I have been trying for days, I couldn’t do it, thanks

Proton VPN requires account login right? Also the free plan has some restrictions

Streaming/torrenting are important parts otherwise what you’d do? Only browsing?

protonvpn doesn’t connecting. i using vpn for privacy, and blocked websites. at my country so many website blocked like discord, pastebin…

Indeed. Fantastic VPN. I’ve been using it for a long time. Never an issue. Full-featured, a LOT of servers, and only €5/month. I’ve used many VPNs over the years, I’ll never leave Mullvad.

When something is free you are the product.

Install Proton VPN from your browser’s web store. Sign in or sign up… done.
Note that the free VPN has many limitations.

Except Open Source

Hi,
First, you must create your account on the Proton web site.
Then install this package:

yay -S proton-vpn-gtk-app

Finally, open KWalletManager (or gnome-keyring) before launching Proton for the fist time.
