I have problems when I delete files from the ssd and hdd disk

Hi everyone.

I hope you’re well. I have questions respect with to the disks I hope you can help me. I want to share my experience, and I want to know if it is possible to fix it. I have three disks, the main and the other two are my external disks, but I have a problem trying to delete some files. It takes a lot of time, but it’s different when I move directories or copy. Do I need to configure something to fix that? And why do I need to put my password whenever I try to access these disks. Can I disable that?. Finally is it possible to change the names that the system put as default to the disks?

File deletion is the most expensive filesystem operation. Deleting many files, especially many small files, can take a long time.

By default, only root can mount disks.

Yes, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Fstab

See if the following can be of any help to you:

I am not sure what names you refer to but you could use a disk management tool like Gparted to label or name partitions on a disk.
