I can't git clone

I’m trying to install packages from AUR with yay, but it says

yay -S brave-bin
error cloning brave-bin: Cloning into 'brave-bin'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://aur.archlinux.org/brave-bin.git/': The requested URL returned error: 502

I have also tried to git clone from github

git clone git@github.com:brave/brave-browser.git
git@github.com: Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Using a VPN allows me to install with yay.

Try again. It works for me.

Still getting the error. I think this has something to do with my network because everything works fine with a VPN

That definitely does imply that’s the issue, yes.

The problem just disappeared and I didn’t do anything.

Probably a temporary DNS outage somewhere along your route to the server.

Also, AUR was recently migrated to a new server, e.g.:

https://www.archlinux.org/news/aur-migration-new-ssh-hostkeys/
