I can not hear the System sounds

Hi there, folks.
a very common question from my side. I can’t here the system sounds when are in the KDE-settings in System Sounds although my rig has sound and I can hear the sound from videos. And so it has no use wether I choose Ocean or FreeDesktop as System Sound.

Does anybody know, what to do to make KDE recognize my sound device?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

In Settings > Notifications set System/Applications event sounds (at the top).
