How to watch DICOM Files

I had to go to the doctor and received images in dicom format.

What is the best program to use to view these files?

I’ve never used them, but maybe try:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/weasis-bin

or:

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/alizams

Running a search for “dicom” of AUR packages, there are quite a few to pick from, though many haven’t been updated in quite a while. You’re probably best off using a -bin version.

Not sure how many of these are available in the AUR.

I also found this page. I wanted to ask if any of you had anything to do with this type of file. Thank you

Not sure what you mean. If you mean have I ever viewed this type of file, yes. But on a Windows machine many years ago.

I know GNU Health has a DICOM viewer/manager if that helps you.

Thank you very much. I’ll have to take a look at that at my leisure.

I’m pretty sure several years ago I used Digicom Browser. It got the job done back when I was using Ubuntu.

weasis-bin should be pretty easy to use.

Aeskulap is in AUR, runs also perfectly.

Weasis-bin opens the .zip file directly. So i dont need to extract.

These are my two favortites. Too bad im not a Doctor, but it is funny how i look inside

Trust is a good thing but checking yourself and have a look under the hood is always better
I am also not that kind of a Doktor … but remember to check the pics from my wife and my daughter before.

Yes, that’s right. I had my whole body checked for the first time. I was actually completely healthy, except for one small thing that was discovered by the CT scan. The sooner the better :+1:
