Hello
I have been trying to research this for a few days and I feel a bit stuck on the topic.
I am attempting to transfer my install drive with EndeavourOS and some games, my configs, etc, over to a faster, bigger drive. I plan on keeping this drive in the same system where the old drive is in, I am not building a new system.
I have tried transferring the entire drive using dd and clonezilla, but once I check the new drive, the root of the new drive did not look like the root of the old drive. I couldn’t find a clear indicator of a btrfs command that would fix the issue, but when trying to use any btrfs command on the new drive, it said it could not detect a Btrfs filesystem.
I am aware I can potentially transfer the drive using the snapshot feature, but as far as im aware, I would need to have a complete copy of the old filesystem structure, on the new drive, so that the snapshot could transfer without issue. I am not sure how to begin to do that, would I just recreate the new partitions on the new drive and then try transferring the snapshot? I am not sure how to make snapshots either, can I just make a one-off snapshot?
Thank you for any help on the issue
