And a console web browser can help too, few years ago I had some problem with my gpu driver and had to install elinks to browse the Archwiki. (elinks is still installed, you never know. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

elinks, lynx, browsh … there are options for that.

As for the archwiki in particular .. there are packages for that.

wikiman, arch-wiki-docs, arch-wiki-lite are a few.

I believe “PowerShell” is some Windows thingy… But as you show above, it even seems to work with that. :+1: Might be a difference to the normal Windows command prompt, I guess. Haven’t been using Windows for 13 years.

Do you recommend one of these over the others? Just curious what one you prefer? Also, same thing for the archwiki stuff you posted.

IE: wikiman, arch-wiki-docs, arch-wiki-lite

Do you have a personal favorite?

I honestly donno which one to get, but I definitely want to get one them, as it will surely save me a headache in the future.

EDIT: so far I got elinks and wikiman just because they were the first thing you posted or do you recommend getting all of them? I got plenty of space on my computer and I guess it would not be a big deal to just download them all…

LAST EDIT: I got them all… if you respond I might consider deleting the ones you don’t recommend, but if not I am good to go. HAHA :slight_smile:

Browser preference is like food preference.
Theres lots of opinions .. but only a select few are especially right or especially wrong.
The various links ones are probably considered more bare vs some of the others.
elinks started originally as a fork of links.
Some say w3m is nicer to use than lynx.
browsh actually depends on and uses firefox and can render things pretty well for the class of application.
carbonyl is similar but uses chromium.
I have only tested some of the ones mentioned here.

The one I have installed in my recovery image is arch-wiki-docs.
