How to migrate Signal Desktop to new machine?

I am working on migrating my stuff from an old laptop to a new one. How would I do so with Signal Desktop?

Signal officially doesn’t support migrating chat history on desktop iirc.

There seems to be a third party utility to do that.

I haven’t used it however. Try at your own risk.

Installing Signal and then overwriting ~/.config/Signal/ on the new machine with the content of the old machine will most probably do the trick - at least this is what I did in the past, and it worked quite well.
