Curious if there’s a way to get rid of the add desktop button in the image below? In KDE 5 it doesn’t appear when virtual desktops is off, which I prefer, but not sure how to disable this in KDE 6.
It’s possible to switch the activating keyboard shortcut (and screen edge) from Overview to Present Windows that doesn’t have the virtual desktops part.

Yes, that’s Present Windows effect on your last picture. It is still available in KDE 6, but it’s not default anymore. The new default is called Overview effect. Just set a keyboard shortcut you like to trigger Present Windows effect in Settings → Shortcuts → KWin → Toggle Present Windows.
