At least as much as your system RAM.

Default swappiness in my EOS is 60. Will changing it speed up or slow the coming out of hibernate? Does it even matter?
Swappiness is controlling how aggressively the kernel uses swap space when running.
As soon as I posted that question I realized hibernate shuts down the puter. Maybe I was thinking of suspend.
I just got hibernate working on EOS Budgie. At least I thought I did. It shuts down when I run systemctl hibernate
Problem is it shuts down. Nothing is saved.
Do you have this in your kernel parameter? (UUID of your SWAP partition)
resume=UUID=
Probably not. You would have to explain how that parameter is set as I have no clue, and I can not find it on any search.
Thanks. I ll check it out.
