My Lutris was working fine about 4 days ago, I’ve been playing Cyberpunk and Red Dead Redemption 2 perfectly from my EOS KDE Wayland Nvidia.
I didn’t make any changes to my EOS, I didn’t update Arch/Aur, and several days ago, my Lutris stopped working, games won’t launch.
After reading a lot on Reddit, I installed the umu-launcher package from Aur.
But my Lutris still doesn’t work. I’ve tried proton-ge (latest), proton-ge 9-/10/11/15, umu-launcher, but none of them have started my games again (all of them worked fine days ago).
(wine-ge-8-26 does work by the way, but it doesn’t get updates anymore)
Am I doing something wrong, maybe my Lutris broke or something?
I found this “tutorial”:
But I’m a noob and I’ve only used GUI programs like Lutris or Heroic, so I don’t understand the commands there and I don’t know how to use umu-launcher exactly, since my games are on another hard drive.
Is there a way to do this via GUI? Maybe those terminal commands aren’t that hard to understand, but I know how to create prefixes correctly this way.
I had the same problem yesterday. This post here helped me.
Download the file and unzip it. Then you have to copy the unzipped folder “pressure-vessel” into your personal folder under .local/share/umu/ and then it should work again.
I have tested it with the latest Proton-Ge, Proton Experimental and the normal Proton at Cyberpunk. Without that the other runners were displayed but only wine-ge-8-26 started the rest did not.
Edit 3: I think what broke it for me was the Update to Wine 9.19
Edit 4: Yesterday it worked with the Solution above but now it stopped working again. The Workaround/Solution is that for now.
(delete the Folder .local/share/umu after that try to launch a game with Lutris using Proton/Proton-GE and Umu will reinstall itself (takes a bit so please wait for it) but after that it is working.)
OT: I really hope that helps and stays working like that now.
Don’t worry about the delay @nicknick . I am glad that it has helped you too. If I have understood correctly, the error/bug will probably be fixed in 0.58.0. The support of Umu is still experimental with the current version.
