I’m not sure VA-API will help since the problem seems to be with Netflix only? Everyhing else works fine?
Anyway, you can read about it on Arch wiki and also here how to make it work with Chromium.

No, I’m not :slightly_smiling_face: Just the name, I guess.

I have tried this myself and it didn’t make a difference for me personally.

Weren’t you saying it was a bit of a lag though?

Ok personally I really think if you used Clear Linux it would work just fine. Its properly optimised with Intel-based hardware.

If you don’t like Clear Linux and want to stick with Arch-based you should either try linux-clear, linux-clear-lts2018 or linux-clear-current kernels, for me they helped improve the browser performances.

The solution was in front of my eyes. I am using LTS. I did a test and boot up with the newer kernel. No lag with this. Can someone tell me how to change the boot order in grub?

The easiest way is to install grub-customizer.
Execute it (root priviliges required) and change it in the second tab (general settings would be correct translation I think). Just mark it as default setting.
Don’t forget to save the changes.
