I highly disagree. The statement “might” be true for the Gentoo wiki, or Slackware howtos, but AW is as easy and straight forward as there can be.
Yes they explain what you need to do to achieve something but like sometimes they don’t explain things in details for example I remember in the past it didn’t explain what these flags meant for something (I can’t quite remember what I was searching up)… Plus it can get too technical for noobs like me.
Short answer, it can’t. The wiki tells you just enough to get by while still not be totally in the dark. Each topic it takes on, will have something related ought to be explained. If they start explaining everything. . . . I don’t know, actually they just can’t. For you it was some flags, for another person, it’ll be something different, like say “bootloader” or “configs” or “format”. If you want to know about something, you’ll have to search on that yourself. If you want to know about some flags of a program named “X”, you’ll have to look into its documentation. It’s “Arch Wiki”, not a “documentation of everything”.

Now try to run the browser from a terminal, see the output, look for the lag you’re facing previously.
Ok so I am getting some interesting results.
So for both Opera and Brave it seems to behave differently. On Opera if I start it up by typing this in the terminal opera --enable-gpu-rasterization --ignore-gpu-blacklist --disable-gpu-driver-workarounds, for Opera this does seem to make it a lot smoother but still has lag in it, whereas for brave it still seems to lag.

So it looks like with Brave’s GPU settings with Rasterization it seems to be only software based.
Where as for Opera it seems to be for hardware based.
I am not too sure why for Brave’s Rasterization is not enabled for hardware accelerated whereas for Opera it is working?
Even if Brave had Rasterization enabled for hardware acceleration (which will help with the laggy performance, just like for Opera), I believe there is still certain settings or something that is causing it to lag.
Try hard reinstalling brave. I’m not entirely sure what’s going on right now.
I was going say maybe that was causing it but i wasn’t sure. Too much back and forth and all over the map with way too many things.
THis is very strange, I typed yay -Rcs brave and it can’t even find the package, I even tried sudo pacman -Rcs brave and that also didn’t work?

While the lag in Opera has reduced heavily, there it is still laggy. Is there another setting I should change for Opera?
